Graphics Feature: BCTXMN-Pollinator Gardens
In the last few years, we have regularly been asked to produce signage for trails, nature preserves, and other special spots in Central Texas. The Balcones Canyonlands Chapter of the Texas Master Naturalist program (BCTXMN) has counted on us a few times for printing beautiful educational graphics on aluminum to be used as outdoor signage in certain natural habitats. Recently the BCTXMN folks had us complete a project highlighting pollinators found at Hamilton’s Pool, pictured above with many of the Master Naturalists involved in the project.
Since 2021, the Balcones Canyonlands Chapter of the Texas Master Naturalist program has installed 7 pollinator gardens throughout Travis County with 7,200+ sq. ft. of restored native habitat.
A grant from Whole Foods funded this latest garden and signage at Hamilton Pool. They used other generous donations (3M matching grant and El Dorado Cafe) to print the artwork and install the signage in other gardens.
Anne-Charlotte Patterson with Southern Combustion deserves a mention for ceating the beautiful designs and was really helpful in making this project happen! It was mentioned that the team effort included local governments and businesses helping to create these Texas native pollinator gardens throughout the area.
