Flintco moved into their current office space in February of this year, and we were honored to help with their internal branding goals. It’s rare to find customers who have been around as long as we have, and in this case, they’ve been around even longer! Flintco was founded in 1908 by a Native American family who owned the company for more than 100 years. Flintco’s Native American heritage has influenced their business interactions and still drives the company today.

After they were acquired by Alberici, they decided to write an Ethos to recalibrate their mission. The statement came together quickly, being a testament to their intention and the clarity of their Ethos, which continues to resonate today. Tim Garbutt, Flintco’s Director, Corporate Marketing and Communications, said this, “our Ethos gives us unity, provides clarity and is a source of strength”.

They have their Ethos statement posted around the office to remind employees and guests alike of what they are truly about. Flintco’s interior was designed by Page/Dyal, and after winning the bid on the project for Flintco, we got started on printing and installing wall decals of their Ethos statement. Flintco ended up going with matte, easily removable vinyl decals that don’t damage the wall when taken down. They went with a few different colors to make the word wall visually pleasing and to add color to the office. Another design feature we helped create was the graphic photo wall, which we made from a fabric-like wall adhesive that has an ultra-matte finish. Then, for the conference room, we frosted the wall and did a back cut into the vinyl so that it would leave the text clear and readable.

Throughout the project, it was clear that Flintco wanted to make their Ethos statement a prominent design feature and reinforce their vision of the “unwavering pursuit of the perfect construction experience” in a bold way. It has been amazing getting to work with with Flintco on this project, and we are so happy with how it looks in their space. Preacher is an independent, Austin-based creative company, founded in 2014, that specializes in advertising, design, strategy and experiential and digital marketing. They pride themselves on marketing with conviction, craft, and plenty of soul, “Spreading the Good Word” in all they do. Being such a creative team, they wanted their workplace to reflect that.

We were thrilled to work with them for the third year on a unique project in a space they call “The Chapel”, producing clear adhesive vinyl window decals to create a stained-glass window effect. Each year, Cofounder Rob Baird chooses 10 of his designers and art directors to design the stained-glass windows, each window reflecting who the artist is or what they are passionate about. The 10 artists come together to share their ideas and work as a team to decide on the final designs just as they do on client projects. Preacher’s space also includes a split-level gallery where they rotate through selected artists’ work, hosting openings with live music and catering, which are open to the public. To see past shows and learn about upcoming events, visit Preacher’s gallery website.

The creative energy of the 50’s downtown storefront office is noticeable! It’s a great, open area and comfortable for employees, clients and visitors alike. Throughout the office there are nooks and couches for a change in work environment, with creatively added conference rooms adorning the open space. Brands flock to this agency for campaigns that keep the scriptures of powerful advertising.
